With the Covid-19 pandemic getting dramatically worse instead of better, a lot of people have decided that skipping routine medical appointments is a good idea. After all, who wants to sit in a waiting room filled with people who are coughing and sneezing.
The Washington Post published an article about the five medical appointments you should go to, despite the risk. Per The Washington Post, you should do all of the following, even in the midst of the worst health crises the world has seen in a century:
● Cancer Screenings
● Dental Appointments
● Physical Therapy
● Blood Work
● Emergency Room Visits
You can read the details about why each of these is so important. The bottom line, however, is that your odds of dying from Covid-19 are much, much lower than they are of dying from cancer or heart disease. You surely don’t want to ignore a treatable condition in hopes of avoiding a much rarer one.
So, even though it seems counterintuitive, for these five medical visits, it makes sense to go and get them done. Wear a mask and wash your hands and hope for the best.
