As Christmas approaches, I hope that everyone can pause and enjoy time with family and friends. Even during the most troubling of times, the Christmas season remains a special time to reflect on the important things in life.
Complaining that Christmas has become too commercial probably dates back to the original manger and the price of Myrrh. It’s the one thing that apparently everyone can agree on. I heard a rather clever song the other day. It was recorded by Eddie Cantor (!) way back in the day when everything was in black and white. The song is called The Only Thing I Want For Christmas.
If you have a moment, give it a listen. The lesson of the song is a good one and something we should all keep in mind.
Merry Christmas!
